In this 92nd edition in the series, Clay expresses his thoughts on how the U.S. Coast Guard needs increased funding to accomplish its mission under the Trump administration. Please note this interview was recorded just prior to the announcement that Trump Administration’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is targeting a roughly 10 percent budget cut for the Coast Guard…a $1.3 billion cut in fiscal year 2018 that includes a directive to scrap the building of a $500 million ship, the newest National Security Cutter (NSC).
