In this 133rd edition in the series, Clay discusses the $300 million funding of the first of the class of National Security Multi-Mission Vessel (NSMV) ships with the recent passage of the Omnibus Bill. This will serve as a new state academy training ship to replace the aging SUNY Maritime College Empire State VI. The second in the NSMV class, slated for FY 2019, will replace the Massachusetts Maritime Training Ship, TS Kennedy. In addition, he also comments on the $750 million allocated for the USCG Polar Icebreakers.
