Graduation will begin promptly at 1000 on the Parade Field and will last approximately two hours. The patio of the Mess Deck will be the stage for the ceremony and we will have an extremely large tent with chairs set up for guests. Temporary parking will be set up around campus and waiting areas will be set up for guests who would like a ride to the Parade Field. The commencement ceremony will also be live streamed. In early May students will be notified that invitations are available for them to pick up in the Dean's Office. Students initially receive six invitations but will be given additional invitations if requested. Invitations are mementos of the occasion and are not required for admittance. Seating is first come, first served. If you need assistance with lodging or travel, the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce and the Massachusetts Maritime Academy Parents Association websites contain information on nearby accommodations. The Massachusetts Maritime Academy graduation policy permits students who are delinquent in not more than one course or one Sea Term to participate in June graduation exercises. For those Graduates who completed all academic requirements in August 2017, December 2017 or February 2018, please confirm with the Dean's Office, at your earliest convenience, via e-mail to [email protected], or call 508-830-5013, that you will be participating in the June 2018 graduation ceremony. Dress rehearsal for graduation is Tuesday, 12 June, at 1600. All uniform orders must be placed through the MMA book store at 508-830-6488 by the first week in May. All non-regimental commuter students must order a cap and gown directly from University Cap & Gown prior to 18 May 2018. Order forms are available at the Dean's Office for anyone who needs one.
